Prof. Dimo Dimov

Graduated from the State Academy of Music and specialized with Julia and Konstantin Ganev. In 1970 he won the І prize at "Sv. Obretenov" National Competition, in 1979 - І prize at "Maria Callas" Piano Competition in Athens. In 1984 he was invited to specialize with the famous pedagogue Lili Kraus in the United States. Dimov has given concerts in many European countries, in America and Asia. He did recordings and worked with all Bulgarian orchestras as well as with chamber ensembles renowned soloist. The interpretation of new music is hight on his agenda as performer: Trio for Violin, French Horn and Piano by G. Ligeti; Linea For Two Pianos And Percussions by L.Berio (1994) and Concerto For Two Pianos And Orchestra by B.Bartok (1995) witch he performed together with Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova. Dimo Dimov is professor at the Instrumental Faculty of the State Academy of Music.
